A fall morning

This morning was a beautiful fall morning. Natalie and I took her bike to a nearby park so she could ride on some nice bike roads.
Of course, we stopped at the playground and played on the slides and the swings. But the best stop we made was just in the middle of the park to look at the pretty leaves and blow at some dandelions:

Natalie told me we had to blow at the dandelion seeds, and then we could make a wish...

Hands and feet

Last weekend, Natalie got a fruit roll up - you know, one of these loooong pieces of sticky stuff that pretend to be healthy because they are made of fruit... Anyway, she wanted more candy, and Karsten told her "but you already got five feet of candy!".
And Natalie's answer was very logical: "No, I don't have five feet, I have two hands!"

Getting to know Natalie

Recently, Natalie moved into a new room in daycare. She got a sheet home with "getting to know me" questions. So, we sat down after dinner, and I asked her the questions and recorded her answers:

My name: Natalie

My favorite color: Blue

My favorite animal: Giraffe

What I like to do at home: Play with "stickies" (window clings)

What I want to be when I grow up: A waterfall

My favorite food: Potatoes

My favorite drink: Chocolate milk

My favorite TV show: Dora the Explorer

My favorite thing to do at Daycare: Visit my new room

What I am afraid of: Lions

Where I live: In my house

I especially like that she's going to be a waterfall when she grows up. Wonder how that works...

At the Zoo - again

My company has a yearly day at the Zoo". And since it is one of our favorite places, it was a given that we would go and spend the afternoon.
Even though I've posted many pictures from the Zoo before, I still wanted to post these two ones, just because...
Natalie was so proud that she got to ride the elephant on the merry-go-round. And yes, she does have blue lips - she had just finished a gigantic and very colorful popsicle, and the color wasn't coming off!

Part of the thing from my work was a train ride. Natalie was very intrigued...

A happy song

Natalie loves to "see what's on Mommy's 'puter"...

We watch videos of nursery rhymes, old Sesame Street stuff, etc. on my computer. It's usually a great time. The other day, my computer was turned off, so we had to "wake it up" before we could watch something. The computer played the usual windows startup sound, and Natalie turned to me and said "The computer played a happy song because it woke up!" What a great way to look at it!

So, in honor of happy songs, here's one of Natalie's favorites:
